Mark Roy Whitelaw;60;a member of the North Belle Vernon Council for 12 years;died suddenly at his late home Friday;Aug.2;1963;at 8 a.m. He lived at 387 Jones St. in Belle Vernon. Mr.Whitelaw was a member and past president of the North Belle Vernon Fire Dept.and a member of the Christian Church of Belle Vernon. He was employed as a driver for the National Biscuit Co.for 42 years;retiring from this job last year. Born in Banning;Nov.13;1902;he had spent most of his life in Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow;Ethel Snyder Whitelaw;two sons;Charles Robert of Belle Vernon R.D.and Roy L.of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.James (Phyllis) Dague of Bentleyville;and Mrs.Matthew (Lois) Lococo of Leonardtown;Md.;six grandchildren;two brothers;John of Belle Vernon R.D.;and Robert of Belle Vernon;one sister;Mrs.Leroy (LuLu) Jones of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon. Services will be held there Monday;Aug.5;at 1:30 p.m.;in charge of the Rev.E.M.Oakes;pastor of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson of Belle Vernon is the funeral director.
