Marjorie D. Jones,65,of Belle Vernon R.D.2,Rostraver Township,died Saturday,June 10,1989 at 5:45 a.m. at the Forbes Hospice,Pittsburgh. She was born in Rostraver Township,July 9,1923,a daughter of John B. Deter and the late Adele M. Rousseau who died April 20,1987. Mrs. Jones was a lifelong resident of Rostraver Twp. She was a graduate of Rostraver High School and the former California Teachers College. She was a teacher in the Belle Vernon High School where she taught biology and was a librarian from 1945 to 1958. In addition to her mother,she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nan Adele Jones on July 7,1968. She is survived by her husband,Vencen P. Jones;her father,John B. Deter of Belle Vernon R.D.1;and a sister,Eleanor M. Reiger of Belle Vernon R.D.1. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services from the funeral home will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Marlin A. Miller of the Fells United Methodist Church,Rostraver Township,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
