Marion Mathews,of 68 McKinley Ave,Charleor,died Sunday,April 19,1981,at 8:05 p.m. in his residence. He was 77. Mr. Mathews was born Nov. 22,1904,in Roberta,Ga.,and had resided in Charleroi the past 40 years. He was a member of Mt.Sinai Baptist Church,Charleroi. Survivors include his wife, Dotothy Boroughs Mathews,at home;two sons,Alec Mathews and James Bonner,both of Pittsburgh;a daughter,Marion Goins,of Wilkinsburg;two sisters,Mattie Troutman of Pittsburgh and Mary Appleton of Detroit,Mich;five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen,Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church,Charleroi,with the Rev. E.W. Demps,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The William R. Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
