Obituary

Marion (Mae) Palfrey Gauden, 92, formerly of Belle Vernon (Fairhope) passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008 in Pensacola, FL. A daughter of the late Thomas and Elva Mae Burke Palfrey, she was born in Fairhope on August 1, 1915. She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and John Melvin, one son, Edward W. Gauden, two grandsonsJohn and Tom Melvin, one granddaughter, Deanna Quinley, and her husband, Mark, all of Pensacola, FL, five great-grandsons, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, one special sister-in-law, Bonnie Palfrey of Stockdale, and nephew Thomas Augustine and his wife Doreen of Pensacola, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Ruth Stark Palfrey, her husband, Edward B. Gauden, a sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Joe Augustine, two brothers and one sister-in-law, Frank S. Palfrey and Thomas W. and Jean Palfrey. Friends will be received from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Friday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Robert Prinkey officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
