Obituary

Marion Cranford Jr.,52,of 341 11th St.,Donora,died enroute to Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital on Sunday evening,November 9,1975. He was born in Royal,Pa.on Aug.3,1923 and spent most of his life in Dayton,Ohio before moving to Donora. A world War II veteran,serving in the U.S.Army, he had been employed at the former Mon Valley Recon,Inc.of Donora. Mr.Cranford is survived by six children,S-Sgt.Theodore Cranford,serving with the U.S.Air Force in Japan,Mrs.Clestine Taylor of Dayton,Ohio,Airman 1-C Rodney Cranford,also with the U.S.Air Force,Jeffrey Cranford,Almetta Cranford and Marion Cranford III,all three of Dayton,Ohio,three sisters,Mrs.Mattie Ora Jones of Monessen,Mrs.Anette Davis of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Carol Corbin of Chicago,Ill.,one brother,Richard Cranford of Chicago,Ill,and several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home,Monessen from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday. Services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m.in Macedonia Holiness Church,Arnold City,with the Rev.Bonner Dupree,pastor,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C.Draper is funeral director in charge.
