Obituary

Marie Steinmiller, 88, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 1, 2012. A daughter of the late Lewis and Nellie Heberle Kelly, she was born in Wyano on Sept. 4, 1923. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and the Belle Vernon and Fayette City Golden Agers. Her family and church were the most important things in her life. Marie was the last of 12 children in her family. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Edward Watts, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., one son and daughter-in-law, Herman and Tiny Steinmiller, of Salt Lake City, Utah, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Steinmiller, on March 27, 2001, a daughter, Lorraine Steinmiller, on April 29, 2007, and one grandson. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, (724) 929-5300, www.Ferguson FuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. Funeral services will be in the First Baptist Church, Short Street, Belle Vernon, Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Ronald Malm officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
