Marie R.Zabawsky;65;of 101 Robert St.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;Aug.10;1988;at 12:35 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born March 24;1923;in Charleroi;a daughter of the late Antonio and Margherita Gatti Connoni. Mrs.Zabawsky was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas;also of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers;Macco;Joseph;Pete;John and Victor Cannoni;and three sisters;Amelia Arnoldi;Angeline Fazzorti and Antionette Volante. Surviving are her husband;Samuel;two sons and daughters-in-law;Samuel R.and Nancy Lee Zabawsky of Marco Island;Fla.;and Stephen M.and Linda S.Zabawsky of Mt.Lebanon;and one sister;Mrs.Madeline Barger of Merritt Island;Fla. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.on Saturday;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers;the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the church of one’s choice.
