Obituary

Marie K. Wallace, 91, of Belle Vernon, died Sunday, July 30, 2006, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 9, 1914, in East Belle Vernon, she was a daughter of the late John and Sabatini Rose Feola Trozzo. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, she was a member of Pricedale Union Church, where she sang in the choir and had also sung in the choir at the Belle Vernon Baptist Church. She was a member of the Belle Vernon Goldenagers and the Belle Vernon Women's Club. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lee E. and Bonnie Wallace, of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., a daughter and son-in-law, Joan (Wassilchalk) and Ben Kelley, of Monongahela, a sister, Delma Stofan, of Belle Vernon, four grandchildren, Laurie Johnson, of Cranberry Township, Daniel Wassilchalk, of Venetia, Lynn Wright, of Harpers Ferry, and Lisa Larkin, of Philadelphia, and nine great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur H. Wallace, on July 28, 1997, and a sister, Gilda Tomayko. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, a Golden Rule Member Firm, www.fergusonfuneralhome.net. Services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James J. Mimidis officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Capital Campaign at Pricedale Union Church.
