Obituary

Marie K. Grabania, 86, formerly of Belle Vernon, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 in the Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford. A daughter of the late Frank and Anna Barbara Koslosky O'Leary, she was born in Belle Vernon on Sept. 6, 1920. Lutheran by faith, Mrs. Grabania had been employed as an operator at the former Bell Telephone, a secretary for O'Leary Ford in Monessen, and as a receptionist for Dr. Eugene O'Leary. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia H. and Frank Smith, of Moon Township, and Carol M. Zema, of Deep Creek Lake, Md., one son and daughter-in-law, William D. and Elizabeth Grabania, of West Chester, six grandchildren, Sean and Fay Smith of Rocklin, Calif., Todd and Anne Marie Smith, of Mt. Lebanon, Danalynn Marie and Paul Young, of Earl, David V. and Allisyn Pascaralla, of Cranberry Township, Dr. Erin and Michael Bastidas, of West Chester, and Tara Marie Grabania, of Phoenixville, three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew and Hayley Marie Smith, one sister-in-law, Mary Lou O'Leary Ferguson, of Rostraver Township, and one brother-in-law, Cliffton Haywood, of Lebanon, Miss. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin P. Haywood, her second husband, William Grabania, and two brothers, Robert E. O'Leary and Dr. Eugene O'Leary.
