Obituary

Marie J. Lotti, 88, of Belle Vernon, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at 10:50 p.m. in Beverly Health Care, Canonsburg. She was born in Clairton on Dec. 21, 1913. Mrs. Lotti was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and had been active in many church groups, including Catholic Daughters of America, Court 1522, and the Legion of Mary. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Lotti had resided in Belle Vernon all of her adult life. Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Dennis Lotti of Belle Vernon, Robert and Cheryl Lotti of Merristown and Susan Rajala Lotti of California, Md., two brothers, Michael Hanek of Athens, Ohio, and Edward Hanek of Taylors, S.C., two sisters, Cecelia Hanek of Union, Ky., and Margaret Riggins of Miami, Fla., and six grandchildren, Christopher, Alicia, Sharon, Matthew and Daniel Lotti and Jennifer Shuler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anselmo Lotti, in 1970, a son, Fred Lotti, in 2000, and several brothers and sisters. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Member Firm, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with Father John Cindric, V.F., as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 3 p.m. Sunday, led by members of St. Sebastian Parish.
