Mrs.Margaret Allan VanRiper;76;of 203 Valley Manor;Monessen;died at 10 a.m. Tuesday;May 5;1970;in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a short illness. Mrs.VanRiper;who was born in Roscoe;had lived at 440 Knox Ave.;Monessen;until moving to Valley Manor four years ago. Her husband;Arthur VanRiper;died Sept.24;1965. Surviving are those in the Cairns household;of which she was raised. They are the following nieces and nephews;Mrs.William (Margaret) Ulerick of California;Pa.;John Cairns and Arthur Cairns of Roscoe;Andrew Cairns of Monessen;James Miller of Allenport;two sisters-in-law;Mrs.Myrtle Gaul of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Hazel Allen of Roscoe. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. May 6 at Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen;and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. May 7. Service there at 10 a.m. Friday;May 8;with the Rev.Glen H.Burrows;pastor of Monessen’s First Presbyterian Church;officiating. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rhome funeral directors in charge.
