Margaret White Sterner; 90; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Thursday; Sept. 9; 2010; in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital; Greensburg. Born Feb. 29; 1920; in Jeannette; she was the daughter of the late William and Nora McCarthy White. A lifelong resident of Rostraver Township; Mrs. Sterner was a member of Pricedale Union Church; a retired clerk from Pricedale Post Office; a homemaker; loved her grandchildren; and was affectionately known as Grandmother of the Year. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law; Kathy and James Sichi; of Belle Vernon; and Becky Bernard; of North Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Leigh Ann and Eric Kostelac; of Washington Township; Eric and Theresa Sichi; of Twilight; Jennifer Renee and Rob Cooper; of Rostraver Township; and Heather Lynn Bernard; of North Belle Vernon; and five great-grandchildren; Eric J. Kostelac; Sage Kostelac; Jacob Sichi; Ava Kuvinka and Gavin Cooper. She was preceded in death by her husband; Donald W. Sterner; who died on March 1; 1998; three brothers; William White Jr.; Jimmy White; Johnny White; three sisters; Elizabeth Bibby White; JoAnn Rice; Violet Roberts; and a son-in-law; Skip Bernard.
