Mrs.Burke was born in Belle Vernon on Jan.25;1895;a daughter of the late Thornton and Margaret Green Doyle and was a life-long resident of the Belle Vernon area. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon. Her husband;Stephen Franklin Burke;preceded her in death in 1954. Survivors include five daughters;Mary Burke and Nolace Burke;both of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Charles (Georgetta) Higgins of Charleroi and Mrs.Joseph (June) Hamrock and Mrs.Harold (Margaret-Peg) Hough;both of Monessen;seven grandchildren;and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.on Sunday;May 9;1976 and until the time of the services on Monday;May 10;1976 at 2 p.m.with the Rev.Gerald Dye;pastor of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating.
