Mrs.Margaret Brown Rainey;72;of Johnson Hollow;Fayette City;died Sunday;June 29;1980;at her mountain home in Garrett County;Md. Mrs.Rainey was born in Portage;Pa.;on Feb.18;1908;a daughter of the late Edward and Agnes Forsyth Brown. She was a member of the First Christian Church;Fayette City;Order of Eastern Star Chapter 205;Monessen;Monongahela Valley Shrine No.9;Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem;Mckean Commandery No.80 Auxiliary of Charleroi;Auxiliary of Royal Arch Chapter 290;Monessen. Survivors include her widower;Joseph W.Rainey;three sons;Joseph E.Rainey of Chesterton;Ind.;James H.Rainey of Newton Upper Falls;Mass.;and David G.Rainey;at home;three daughters;Elva Mae Coco of Turtle Creek;Margaret Colvin of Florida;and Ruth D.Short of Fayette City;28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son;George W.Rainey;in 1974. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City from 4 to 9 p.m.Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.;Tuesday. Services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.Bruce Smith of the First Christian Church;Fayette Cty;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
