Margaret "Margie" Kowasic,79,of Fayette City R.D.1 (Naomi),died Saturday,April 26,1997, in Monongahela Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. She was born Feb. 16,1918,in Pricedale,a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Csrnya Jupin. Mrs. Kowasic was a member of the Holy Eesurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon. Surviving are her husband, George Kowasic Sr.,with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage on April 24,1997;three sons and two daughters-in-law,George and Elsie Kowasic of Fayette City,Gerald and Priscilla Kowasic of Lake of the Woods,Va.,and William Kowasic of Belle Vernon,eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank,George John and Nick Jupin;and two sisters, Eva Jupin Gaidos and Anna Jupin Bisacky. Friends will be received in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc.,334 Main St.,Fayette City,Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.,Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon,when a Divine Liturgy will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. John Kluchko as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon. Parastas Service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
