Mrs.Maggie Schmidt;89;died at the home of her sister;Mrs.George Garratt;112 Lincoln avenue;Charleroi;February 21;1958;at 3:04 a.m.;with whom she has resided for the past six years. Mrs.Schmidt;with the exception of the past six years;spent her entire life in Belle Vernon. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;a charter member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Auxiliary;and also belonged to the Protective Home Circle of Bradford. She is survived by two sons;Rudolph and Robert Schmidt of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Mrs.Ella Patterson of Belle Vernon and Mrs.George (Mae) Garratt of Charleroi;three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband;Rudolph H.Schmidt on January 27;1948;and a brother;Presley Durst of Masontown. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Monday;February 24;at 1:30 p.m.in charge of Rev.William Schatz;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
