Margaret K.Perry;92;of 965 Alexander Ave.;Monessen;died Sunday;Jan.24;1993;at 8:15 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Jan.19;1901;in Belle Vernon. Ms.Perry spent her entire life in the Monongahela Valley. She was a member of the Wayman AME Church of Monessen and had been church secretary for 42 years. During her membership in the church she served the church in numerous capacities including:a choir member;president of the flower fund;past president of the stewardess board and;at the time of her death;steward emeritus. She is survived by a daughter;Beatrice Corley of Monessen;with whom she resided;a son and daughter-in-law;James Leroy and Gloria McDowell of Rochester;N.Y.;a grandson and his wife;Major K.and Noryne Corley of Monessen;a granddaughter and her husband;Mary Margaret and Milton Corley Brown of Newton;Texas;a foster granddaughter;Hortense Maddox of Monessen;eight great-grandchildren;and nieces;nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the Wayman AME Church;318 Reed Ave.;Monessen;Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev.Goodfellow Mugala officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
