Obituary

Margaret Modrak Fabian, 90, of Belle Vernon, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at 10:30 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born Oct. 4, 1917, in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Motchski Modrak. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 60 years, Mrs. Fabian was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and a homemaker. She was a member of the Belle Vernon Civic Club, the former Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Belle Vernon 1522, and the former Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Fabian was an avid bridge player and enjoyed traveling. She is survived by a son, George Joseph Fabian Jr., of Belle Vernon, a daughter and son-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, William and Norma Modrak, of Roscoe, a sister and brother-in-law, Irene and James Mendicino, of Belle Vernon, two sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Fabian, of Monessen, and Dolores Modrak, two grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Joseph Fabian Sr., and two brothers, Michael and Frank Modrak. Visitation will be held at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183) on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m., at which time a prayer service will be held in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C.
