Margaret Honeycheck Babich; 87; of Jefferson Township; Fayette City; beloved wife; mother and grandmother; died Wednesday; Jan. 15; 2003; in Mercy Hospital; Pittsburgh. She was born Nov. 1; 1915; in Brownsville; a daughter of the late Simone and Mary Porocky Honeycheck. Mrs. Babich was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church; Brownsville. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Mike Babich; on Dec. 3; 2001; three brothers; John; Joe and Andy Honeycheck; and one sister; Sister Mary Callista. She is survived by two daughters; Sandy Babich Gallo and husband Joe of Newell and Margaret Ann Babich Peters and husband Ed of Jefferson Township; with whom she made her home; one brother; Steve Honeycheck of Texas; and two granddaughters; Jenifer Gallo and Megan Peters. Friends will be received at the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.; Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday; Jan. 18; until 9:15 a.m.; when a Blessing Service will take place followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s R.C. Church; Brownsville; with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
