Mrs. Margaret Augusta Zollars, 47 years old, wife of School Director William L. Zollars, died at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon,May 2,1936 at the residence, 326 South Eighth street, West Side. She had not been well for some time, but during the past several months her strength had been growing less. Born in Pittsburg on June 16, 1888, Mrs. Zollars attended the public schools there and at Braddock. Later she moved to Monessen, where she married W. L. Zollars in 1909. She was the mother of three sons, William, Carl and Nelson, the eldest dying in Infancy and the other two being at home. In addition to her husband and two sons, she is survived by one brother, A. W. Theiss of Monessen, a stepsister, Mrs. George Nash of Edgewood, a stepbrother, Fred Miller ot Swissvale, and two grandsons, Gerald and Jack Zollars, both at the Zollars home. Although an invalid for many years, Mrs. Zollars was a patient sufferer. She had a cheerful disposition and during her 13 years of residence on the West Side made numerous friends. She became a member of the Baptist Church early in life and since coming here had been identified with the First Baptist Church of this city. She was also a member of the E. B. Martin Bible Class. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the residence. Rev. J.S. Brownlee,pastor of the First Baptist Church,will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery in charge of funeral service C.C.Mitchell.
