Vernon; died Thursday; Dec. 26;
1996; in Haven Crest Nursing
Home; Carroll Township.
Born March 22; 1924; in
Broughton; she was the
daughter of the late Harry and
Ann Gezzer Weightman.
Mrs. Turner spent most of
her adult life in Rostraver
Township and was a member of
Pricedale Union Church.
She retired in 1972 from the
Westmoreland County Juvenile
Home; where she had been a
matron. She was also employed
as a school van driver for
Groomes Transit until 1988.
In addition to her parents;
she was preceded in death by
her husband; Raymond H. Turner;
on Sept. 22; 1983.
Surviving are one daughter
and son-in-law; Manila and Michael
Shutman of Blackwood;
N.J.; two grandchildren; Joel R.
Shutman and Margaret A. Carter;
and a brother-in-law;
George P. Turner of Pricedale.
Friends will be received Saturday
from noon to 1 p.m. in the Ferguson
Funeral Home Inc.; 700
Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon;where services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m.with Pastor James Mimidis of Pricedale Union Church officiating. Intement will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs.Turner’s name to Pricedale Union Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
