Rev. Marcus Grant, assistant pastor at Wayman A.M.E.Chruch in Monessen,who lived at 1230 Morgan Ave.,died Saturday,Oct. 29,1966 at 9:58 a.m. in Shadyside Hospital,Pittsburgh. He had been ill two weeks. Mr. Grant had worked in the blooming mill of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co.,retiring from there in 1963. He was a member of the Okay Lodge No 697,I.B.P.O.E. of W.,Monessen. Born at Penny Royal,S.C. he had lived in Monessen 42 years. Surviving are his widow, Leola;a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Mabel) Rendleman of Monessen;three step-sons,Delmar,Fleming and William Mosely of Monessen; a sister, Mrs.Joseph (Rosa) Lee of Georgetown, S.C.;three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen, after 7 p.m. Oct. 31. Service Wednesday,Nov. 2,at 2 p.m. at Wayman A.M.E. Church,Monessen,with Dr. R.A. Latimer, pastor, officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
