Mrs. Mamie Carney,82,died Saturday,June 8,1963 at 1:30 p.m. in Brownsville General Hospital. She had made her home with a son, Kenneth Carney,209 Shibboleth St.,California. A former resident ot Belle Vernon,Fayette City and Allenport, Mrs. Carney was born in Belle Vernon,Aug. 16,1880,a daughter of Civil War Veteran Pierson B. Luce and Adeline Jacob Luce. Preceded in death by her husband,Samuel,May 6,1951,she s survived by four sons, Brayton of Richeyville,Kenneth of California,Pa.,Pierson of Cleveland,Ohio and Gerard of Allenprt. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren ,23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where funeral services will be held Wednesday,June 12,at 130 p.m. Rev. Norman Young of Grace Methodist Church will officiate.
