Madeline Kravec;79;of 614 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;died on Tuesday;Jan.2;2000;at her home. She was born in Fayette County on Sept.19;1921;a daughter of the late Frank and Teresa Laratta Teres. Mrs.Kravec was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and its Legion of Mary. She retired in 1995 from Monongahela Valley Hospital where she worked as a nurses aide. Survivors include an aunt;Victoria DeCarlo of Republic;an uncle;Anthony (Queenie) and wife Marie Laratta of Monongahela;a brother-in-law;Joe Kravec of Stockdale;and several cousins. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Steve on Oct.1;1966;and a sister;Pauline Teres. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.;a Golden Rule Member Firm;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11:30 a.m.;followed by funeral Mass at noon in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary at 7 p.m. today;Thursday;in the funeral home.
