Mack Halga;82;of North Belle Vernon;died Friday;June 15;2001;at 12:35 a.m.in Mt.Macrina Manor;Uniontown. He was born Oct.16;1918;in Pricedale;a son of the late Peter and Mary Wozniak Halgas. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon;he was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;and the Polish National Alliance Lodge 1146 of Monessen. He retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;where he worked for 43 years. Survivors include his wife of 60 years;Nellie Bakaitis Halgas;two brothers and sisters-in-law;Joseph and Dorothy Halgas of Arnold City;and Rudy and Virginia Halgas of Belle Vernon;and one sister and brother-in-law;Genevieve and Anthony Zema of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by one brother;Ernie Halgas. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the LEONARD J.PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME;family owned and operated;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;with the Rev.Donald P.Trexler;parochial vicar;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 3 p.m.in the funeral home;led by the St.Sebastian Legion of Mary. The Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus will hold services Sunday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home.
