La'Ron A'Ron Howard, 35, of Duquesne, departed this life Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at his home. He was born Jan. 18, 1979, in McKeesport. His parents were Renita R. (Howard) Brooks and Craig A. Brooks Sr., of Bethel Park. Also known by family and friends as "Face," he was the coach of the Duquesne Dukes Baby Twerps little league football team. He also worked part-time at Mitchell's Seafood Restaurant at the Galleria Mall in Mt. Lebanon. He brought joy to all that knew him and he is survived by his parents; children, Ezekiel Stewart, Myka Howard, Brooke-Lynn Howard, Dontae Braxton and Destiny Poindexter; siblings, Zerick Howard, of Monessen, Jeffery Howard, of McKeesport, Amula Johnson, of Monroeville, Craig A. Brooks Jr. and Lucretia D. Brooks, both of South Park, and Renita N. Brooks, of Finleyville; grandmothers, Lucretia Brooks, of Clairton, and Dorothy Brown, of McKeesport; also Jessica and Jason Newkirk and Jeffery Brown Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henrietta and James Howard. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at the ROBERT A. WATERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 449 Mitchell Ave., Clairton. Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, in Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 451 Park Ave., Clairton. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
