Lyman E. Clark, aged 58 years, highly esteemed Monessen resident, died at 12:30 o'clock Wednesday,July 11,1934, in the McKeesport hospital, death being due to a cerebral hcmmorrhage. Mr. Clark suffered his first attack over three months ago, but it was believed that he had recovered his usual health. He had resumed his duties at the Monessen Foundry and Machine Company, where he had been employed for the past thirty years. On Sunday, he was taken suddenly ill and lapsed into unconsciousness and was removed to the hospital where he remained in a comatose condition until his death. Mr. Clark was born and reared in Monongahela and with the exception of about six years spent at Niagara Falls, after he had reached manhood, his entire life was spent in the Monongahela valley. He was employed as an expert machinist at the Foundry. Mr. Clark was active in fraternal circles, being Past Commander of all local Masonic Orders, Past Patron of the Eastern Star and a member of thn Knights of Pythias. He attended the Presbyterian church. His wife, Mrs. Rose Perry Clark is the only survivor. The body has been brought to the home, 104 First street. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Methodist Church in charge of the Masonic lodge. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
