Lydia Ann Smith Watson Carson-Dean, 67, of White Oak, died Sunday, March 8, 2015, at 9:41 p.m. at her home. Born Dec. 13, 1947, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of her late birth parents, Henry and Naomi Butler Smith and was lovingly raised by Moses and Sylvia Rawls Watson. A resident of White Oak for the past five years, Mrs. Carson-Dean was a member of Christian Life Church, Trafford, served at the coffee bar ministries of the Christian Life Church and was a volunteer worker at Life Span Senior Center, Versailles. She was a retired cosmetology supervisor from the Mon Valley Career and Technology Center. She is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Darryl Carson of Boca Raton, Fla., Albert P. "Poodie" Carson II and wife, Shelby J. Carson, of North Huntingdon, Clinton Carson and fiancee, Kara Pascotti, of Belle Vernon; four brothers, Henry Smith of San Diego, Calif., Niles Smith of Pittsburgh, Bruce Smith of Charleroi, and Vaughn Smith of Virginia Beach, Va.; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Paulette Moorer of Charleroi, Leila and Michel Brown of Valdosta, Ga., Gail Smith of Maryland, and Marsha Jones and husband, Pastor Kevin Jones, of Charleroi; seven grandchildren, Chenee Carson, Darryl Carson, Chelsa Russo, Ashley Carson, Kaleah Carson, Natalie Carson, McKenzie Carson; and a great-granddaughter, Sirihana. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Smith and Brenda Smith. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Relatives and friends will gather Friday at the Christian Life Church, 900 7th St., Trafford for 11 a.m. with the Pastor Gary Simpson, Pastor Ethel Quarles and Deacon Albert "Poodie" Carson officiating.
