Lydia A.Gillingham of 415 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;Sept.12;1980;at 11:20 p.m.in the Waddington Nursing Home. She was 88. Mrs.Gillingham was born March 28;1892;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late William and Violet Mustard Curl. A life-long resident of the Belle Vernon area;she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband;Walter Gillingham;on May 31;1973. Survivors include two daughters;Mrs.John (Dorothy) Bell and Mrs.Charles (Eleaner) Stark;both of Belle Vernon;two grandchildren;four great-grandchildren;and one great-great-granddaughter. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m.with the Rev.William M.Jamison;pastor;Bethany Bible Fellowship;and the Rev.Lee Dinsel;pastor;First United Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;co-officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
