Obituary

Lydia A.Gillingham of 415 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,Sept.12,1980,at 11:20 p.m.in the Waddington Nursing Home. She was 88. Mrs.Gillingham was born March 28,1892,in Belle Vernon,a daughter of the late William and Violet Mustard Curl. A life-long resident of the Belle Vernon area,she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband,Walter Gillingham,on May 31,1973. Survivors include two daughters,Mrs.John (Dorothy) Bell and Mrs.Charles (Eleaner) Stark,both of Belle Vernon,two grandchildren,four great-grandchildren,and one great-great-granddaughter. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m.with the Rev.William M.Jamison,pastor,Bethany Bible Fellowship,and the Rev.Lee Dinsel,pastor,First United Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,co-officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
