Mrs. Louisa Jones, pioneer resident of Monessen, died Friday night,November 22,1935 at 1:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Williams, on McKee avenue. She had been in declining health for some time. She would have been 81 years old on December 24. Mrs. Jones was born in Cardiff, Wales, and came to Monessen thirty-three years ago. She was the oldest member of the Christian Church of this city. Surviving are three children by a former marriage,William Price,of Monessen,George R.Price,of Youngstown,and Mrs. Anna Price,of Galveston,Texas,and three children of William Jones,her late husband,Mrs.Clyde Sickles,Mrs.Clem Dauvin and Mrs.Louis Williams,all of Monessen. There are seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be viewed at the home of her daughter,Mrs.Louis Williams on McKee avenue. Funeral services are announced for Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Services will be held at the Christian Church on Sixth street,in charge of the pastor,the Rev. M.S.Speer. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
