Mrs. Louisa Jane Simpson of 943 Oakland avenue; Charleroi; died February
15; 1949; at 4:10 a. m.; at her
home.
She was born in Belle Vernon; January
17; 1866; the daughter of Isaac
and Josephine Payne Batch. She came
to Charleroi fifty years ago from
Belle Vernon and was a member of
St. James A. M. E. Church. She was a
life member of the Household of
Ruth.
She is survived by two sons; Edmund
at home and Kenneth R. Simpson
of Harrisburg; three daughters;
Nina L. Stokes at home; Mrs. Fred
McMillen of Cleveland; Ohio; and
Mrs. Jesus Ramirez of Monessen;
eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Lawrence B.Frye Funeral Home. Services will be held there Friday;February 18;1949;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Joseph Stormes. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Lawrence B.Frye is the funeral director.
