Obituary

Louis W.Nagy,820 Brown St.,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,November 28,1978,in the Mon valley Hospital,Carroll twp. He was 78. Born in Hungary,Feb.16,1900,he was the son of the late John and Clara Drotos Nagy. He was a resident of the Belle Vernon area for 76 years. Mr.Nagy worked in area mines for 25 years,and was an employee of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel,Allenport plant,retiring in 1963. He was a member of St.Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon,and the William Penn Association of Pittsburgh. Mr.Nagy is survived by his widow,Julia A.Tatrai Nagy,one son,John Louis Nagy,at home,one daughter,Dolores J.Nagy,at home,one brother,Joseph Nagy of Monessen,four sisters,Mrs.Mary Costalas and Mrs.Clara Davenport,both of Belle Vernon,Mrs.Helen Fekete of Cleveland,Ohio,and Mrs.Annie Berlin of Laguna Beach,Calif.,and four grandchildren,Mr.and Mrs.John H.(Kathy) Miller Jr of Belle Vernon,Patty Roskevitch of Belle Vernon,and Stephanie Roskevitch of Republic. He was preceded in death by a sister,Elizabeth Todd,a brother,John Nagy,and a daughter,Betty (Elizabeth) Roskevitch. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 11:30 a.m.followed by Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St.Sebastian's Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
