Obituary

Services were held today,Wednesday,Nov.1,1995,for Louis P.Hegedus,72,of 426 Perry Ave.,Belle Vernon (Fairhope),who died Monday,Oct.30,1995,at 8:13 a.m.in the Integrated Health Services of Mountainview,Greensburg. Mr.Hegedus was born Sept.16,1922,in Arnold City,a son of the late Louis and Susan Garygutch Hegedus. He retired from the former Lee-Norse Company in North Charleroi where he completed 43 years of service in the structural layout department. A lifelong resident of Fairhope,Mr.Hegedus was a Presbyterian by faith. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II,having attained the rank of sergeant first class. Mr.Hegedus was also a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and the former Belle Vernon area Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.3557 in Fairhope. Surviving are his wife,Kathryn Fidnarik Hegedus,a son and daughter-in-law,Louis John and Bonnie Hegedus of Chambersburg,a daughter,Mrs.John (Kathleen) Zadrozny of Belle Vernon,a granddaughter,Amy Hegedus,and a sister,Henrietta Jackson. In addition to his parents,he was also preceded in death by a sister,Margaret Calderbank,and by his paternal grandfather,Louis Hegedus,who raised him. Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,handled arrangements.
