Obituary

Louis Lovas, of Fairhope, Belle Vernon, died Tuesday,May 5,1981, at 6:25 a.m. in Oakland Veterans' Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a lengthy illness. He was 58. Mr. Lovas was born Jan. 13,1923, in Charleroi, a son of the late Steven and Julia Erdely Lovas. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and was a retired disabled veteran. Mr. Lovas was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Chuckie Massey, Jr., in January of 1977. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Massey and Mrs. Eleanor Koller, both of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home, Fayette City, from 7 to 9 p m. Wednesday, May 6, and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday,May 7.  Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home,with the Rev. Kenneth Neiderhiser,pastor,Church of the Nazarene,Belle Vernon,officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
