Lorraine "Sis" Guglielmi Waite, 88, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Belle Vernon passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, in The Palms at St. Lucie, Port St. Lucie, Fla. A daughter of the late Virgil and Ada Vernicini Guglielmi, she was born in Belle Vernon on Aug. 22, 1926. Prior to her moving to Florida in 2001, Lorraine had resided in Belle Vernon for most of her adult life and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was retired from the Belle Vernon Area School District where she had been a Spanish teacher. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Albert Kuebler of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond E. and Janice Waite of Liberty, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Raymond "Jordan" Waite, Dillon Waite, Cole Kuebler and Kelsey Kuebler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Raymond W. Waite on Feb. 5, 1999; one sister, Lillian Giovanini; and one brother, Edward Guglielmi. Friends will be received 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, http://www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com, 724-929-5300. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Suzanne Currie officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
