Obituary

L. Dale Palfrey, 78, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Warren, OH, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Residence at Hilltop. A son of the late William and Olive E. Wells Palfrey, he was born in Vesta, PA on July 22, 1938. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, during Vietnam and also was stationed in Camp Lejeune, N.C. as a truck mechanic, he worked for Packard Electric in Warren, OH, a division of General Motors, as a supervisor of the boilerhouse. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Palfrey of Portsmouth, VA and Scott Palfrey and his wife Roseann of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren, Michael Palfrey, Jr., Amy Palfrey, Victoria Palfrey and Nina Baldwin; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Palfrey of Orlando, FL and Richard Palfrey of Dunellon, FL; four sisters, Wilma Whitelaw of Belle Vernon, Lillian Mort of Bayonet Point, FL, Sherry Strenske of Belle Vernon, and his twin sister Loretta Sterner of Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Kathryn Harvey Palfrey who passed away on January 31, 1995 and his second wife, Roberta Lesovic who passed away on March 28, 2014. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon.www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com 724-929-5300. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10 A.M. with Rev. Suzanne Curry officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Masonic Service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday.
