The death of Mrs. Lois Watts Eason,aged 66 years,widow of George E. Eason,of Roscoe, occurred Sunday afternoon, December 23,1934,at 1 o'clock,at Allegheny General hospital,Pittsburgh,following an operation. Mrs. Eason had not been seriously ill for more than two weeks and was removed to the hospital last Monday. Her death came as a shock to her many friends in Charleroi and vicinity. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Charleroi,and of the Woman's Guild of the church. Funeral services will be held in her late home at Roscoe,Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock,in charge of Rev. B.C. Newman,rector of St. Mary's Church,with interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Mrs. Eason was born in England on November 5,1868,and had lived in Charleroi and the Monongahela valley more than 32 years. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Carl Schoch,with whom she resided in Roscoe;one son, Edwin, of Belle Vernon;three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Robinson,of Steubenville, Ohio,Mrs. John Hention and Mrs. James Maund of Charleroi;three brothers,Albert Watts,of Lock Four,Edward Watts,of Niles,Ohio,and Harrrison Watts,of Norfold,Va.,and two grandchildren.
