Lois L.Popella of 1560 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly on Saturday Oct.24;1981;at 9:12 p.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 58. Mrs.Popella was born March 30;1923 in Monessen;a daughter of Leona Dandoy Balderoni and the late Emmett Dixon. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 13 years;she was a former Monessen resident. She was Catholic by faith. In addition to her mother;Mrs.Popella is survived by her husband;George M.Popella;one son;Robert Popella Sr.of Belle Vernon;one brother;William Dixon of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Mrs.Leona Endreszl of Charleroi and Mrs.Edith Lannock of Cleveland;Ohio;and two grandsons. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.where a Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
