Obituary

Lois Jean Baker Walters, 63, of North Belle Vernon, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at her home. Born Jan. 17, 1942, in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Edna Baker Baker. A resident of North Belle Vernon, she was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene, where she served on the Board of Directors and taught Sunday school. She is survived by her son, Brian G. Walters, of Pittsburgh, a sister and brother-in-law, Diane L. and John Feeney, of Rostraver Township, a brother, Richard A. Baker, of Mexico, several nieces and nephews, and her life-long friend, Elaine Hutchinson, of Perryopolis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, George A. Jack Walters, on July 16, 2000. Lois is remembered by those who loved her as a kind, compassionate woman who selflessly helped others. Friends will gather to celebrate her life on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929- 6183). Relatives and friends will gather at the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene Tuesday at 11 a.m. for services with the Rev. J.E. Mitchell, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
