Obituary

 

Lois Jean Fowler, 82, of Belle Vernon, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late John and Frances Thomas Hess, she was born in Belle Vernon on July 19, 1931. Lois was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon and a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church. She enjoyed travelling with her husband and having her morning coffee at the Pit Stop. Lois is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edward H. Fowler Jr., one son, Geary O'Neil, one grandson, Gary Lee O'Neil, all of Belle Vernon, four nephews, Guy Thomas Hess and his wife, Vicki, Fred Hess, David Coyne and his wife, Kim, and Robert Coyne and his wife, Ann, two nieces, Karen Poziviak and her husband, John, Kitty Dzatko and her husband, James, her sister-in-law, Lois Jean Coyne of Pittsburgh, and numerous great and great-great-nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Hess. Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, ,http://www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Matthew Stabe of the Mid Mon Valley Lutheran Parish officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Lois was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family.
