Lois Ann Sellaro Cowan, 78, of Perryopolis, Jefferson Township, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at AHN Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills. Born Nov. 5, 1946, in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Louis A. and Alice C. Davis Sellaro. A resident of Perryopolis for the past 49 years, Mrs. Cowan was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was retired from Mellon Bank, where she worked as a loan officer. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society and loved cooking, buying crafts and decorating. She is survived by her husband, George Cowan, to whom she was married for 56 years; son, George L. Cowan; and four lifelong friends, Marsha Page, Patricia Morris, Veronica Matson and Mariam Howell. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 191 Liberty St., Perryopolis, 724-736-2515. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 10:45 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Michael Thomas as celebrant.
