Obituary

Death this morning removed one of Belle Vernon's most prominent and respected citizens when Lloyd W.Corwin passed away following a two week illness in the Memorial hospital at Monongahela. Mr.Corwin,at the opening of the big game hunting season,left with a number of companions for a hunting lodge in Center county. He contracted a severe cold and spent only three days in camp,returning to his home,where he was confined to his bed. His condition became steadily worse and he was removed to the Hospital where he died at 4:15 this morning from a complication of diseases superinduced by the cold. The deceased had been a resident of Belle Vernon all his life and was well known throughtout the valley,having been a partner in the Roley Bros.garage for some time. He was active in civic affairs of his home community and a member of the Baptist church. He is survived by his wife and three children,also his mother,Mrs.Sarah Elizabeth Roley of Belle Vernon,a sister,Mrs.Lula Barron of Belle Vernon and one brother,Robert of Jeannette. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late home,531 Speers street,Belle Vernon in charge of Rev.Walter McCullough,pastor of the Baptist church,with interment following in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
