Lloyd M.Christopher of 427 Hills St.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly on Saturday;Oct.11;1986;at 9:40 p.m. at his home. He was 71. Mr.Christopher was born Nov.20;1914;in Charleroi;a son of the late Thomas and Donna Ramsey Christopher. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife;Margaret J.Holder Christopher;Sept.8;1975;a son;Lloyd D.Christopher;and a brother;Robert Christopher. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area;he was Protestant by faith. Mr.Christopher was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army. A life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department;he was also a member of the Westmoreland County Firemen’s Association;the Charleroi Musical Society and the Tri-County Federation of Musicians. Mr.Christopher retired in 1982 as a bus driver for the Charleroi Area School District. Survivors include a son;Richard C.Christopher of Belle Vernon;a daughter;Mrs.Scott (Peggy) Huscroft of Belle Vernon;a brother;Herman C.Christopher of Donora;six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Wednesday;Oct.15;at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Jack E.Elder;pastor of the Fayette City United Methodist Church;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department will hold services Monday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
