Obituary

 

Lloyd K.Hite,66,of Locust Road,Coal Center,died Monday,April 20,1998,in the Veterans Administration Hospital,Oakland.  Born Aug.24,1931,in Donora,he was the son of the late Lloyd Hite and Mary Keifer Crawford of Dormont,who survives.  Mr.Hite was a member of the Meadows Standardbred Horseman's Association.  He was an active horse trainer at Ladbroke at the Meadows.  He was an avid bowler in two leagues at Tan-O-Bell Lanes in Bentleyville.  He lived in Coal Center for 10 years and was formerly of Belle Vernon. He retired from the former Page plant in Monessen and was a U.S.Army veteran.  In addition to his mother,he is survived by his wife of 43 years,Donna Evans Hite,his stepmother,Vivian Hite of Belle Vernon,a son and daughter-in-law,Wayne and Trudy Hite of Coal Center,two daughters and a son-in-law,Janis and Barry Niemiec of Clarksville and Colleen Hite of Coal Center,one sister,Nancy Sheran of Dormont and eight grandchildren,Kris,Justin,Carter and Casey Hite,Barry M.Niemiec Jr.,Joshua Miller,Ryne Niemiec and Jessica Martin.  Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 11 a.m.to noon in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,  Services will be held Wednesday at noon in the funeral home with the Rev.Dan Owen,pastor of Grace United Methodist Church,Coal Center,officiating.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
