Obituary

Lloyd E. Miller, 78, of 715
Edwards Ave., Belle Vernon,
died Saturday, April 12, in
R.D. 1 Confluence.
He was born June 12,1901, in
Peters Twp., son of the late
William W. and Hannah Jane
Miller Miller.
A lifelong resident of the
Belle Vernon area, he owned
and operated the Miller Contracting Co.
A lifetime member of the
Boy Scouts of America Century Club, he was also a
member of the National
Wildlife Federation and the
Smiton Sportsmen Club.
He had been involved in the
annual spring National
Federation of the Blind
Fishing Event for blind
children at Confluence.
Preceding him in death
were a brother, Harry 0.
Miller and a sister, Mrs.
Thelma Baum Heldson.
Surviving are his widow,
Mary J. Semancik Miller,
three sons, William W. Miller
of Donora, Lloyd Miller Jr. of
Belle Vernon, Paul A. Hayduk
of Gaithersburg, Md., four
daughters, Mrs. George
(Margaret) Martin of BeDe
Vernon, Mrs. T.Andrew (Betty) Durka of Fellsburg,
Mrs .Doyle (Helen) Thurston
of Pfovo, Utah and Mrs. Jack
(Frances) Koschalk of Belle
Vernon, 24 grandchildren, 37
great grandchildren, one
brother, Wilbur W. (Bob)
Miller of Beallsville arfd a
sister, Mrs. Helen Dawson of
Brownsville.
Friends will be received
from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday in the Leonard J.
Parzynski Funeral Home,
Belle Vernon.
Services will be held
Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the
funeral home with the Rev.
George Hall officiating. Burial
will be in Belle Vernon
Cemetery.
The family requests that
memorial contributions be
made to Children's Hospital,
Pittsburgh.
