Obituary

Lloyd A.Guder,83,of 102 Florence Dr.,New Stanton,died Friday,June 15,at 12:03 a.m. at Greensburg Care Center,Greensburg. Born Aug.8,1917,in Pricedale,he was the son of the late Henry and Cora Mabel Gailey Guder. Mr.Guder was a resident of New stanton for the past 17 years,having previously resided in Youngwood and Belle Vernon. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel,Allenport plant,where he worked as a steelworker. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the U.S.Army,and was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He is survived by s sister and brother-in-law,Kathryn and James Newbigging of Pontiac,Mich.,two nieces,Joyce Fought of New Stanton and Patricia Ream of Belle Vernon,and three nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife,Vivian Price Guder,who passed away Nov.29,1997,three sisters,Mildred Simons,Dolores Johnson and Anna Anderson,and two brothers,Harry Guder and Elmer Guder. Services will be held Saturday morning at the LEONARD J.PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME,family owned and operated,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,at 10:30 a.m.,with the Rev.Jeff St.Clair,pastor of Speers United Methodist Church,officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
