She was born Feb.9;1905;in Fayette City;a daughter of the late James and Eliza Jane Fleming Gauden. Mrs.Rhodes was Presbyterian. Surviving are three sons;Samuel of Mansfield;Ohio;James E.of Scenery Hill R.D. and John C.Rhodes of Quitman;Ark.;two daughters;Mrs.William (Annetta Ann) Fargo and Mrs.Kenneth (Virginia) Coffman;both of Fredericktown;R.D.1;a sister;Virginia Baker of New Martinsville;W.Va.;a brother;Albert Gauden of Cleveland;Ohio;14 grandchildren;21 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;John H.Rhodes;who died Feb.6;1979;and two brothers;James Holleran and Elijah Gauden. Friends will be received in the Greenleee Funeral Home;Fredericktown Hill;Fredericktown;Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
