Linda C. Baker Astle, 81, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley in Carroll Township. Born Sept. 24, 1943, in Brownsville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Gladys McIntosh Baker. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 51 years, Mrs. Astle was Methodist by faith. She enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, “Dancing With The Stars” and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Her interests also extended to playing cards, solving crossword and sudoku puzzles, gardening, writing letters and enjoying the beauty of birdwatching. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dane and April Astle of Zionsville, Ind.; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Timothy Greenawalt of Rostraver Township; daughter, Holly Kmetko of Belle Vernon; two grandsons, Trent (Taylor) Astle of Indianapolis, Ind., and Luke (Daisy DeLong) Astle of McKinney, Texas; and fur baby Maizy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Astle; son-in-law, Roman Kmetko; and brother, Harley Baker. Visitation and funeral services were held privately for the family with Pastor Chuck Jack officiating at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183.
