Lillie Thelma Green Chapman; 91; of Monessen; died Tuesday; Aug. 6; 2002; in Monsour Medical Center; Jeannette. She was born March 27; 1911; in Sewickley Township; a daughter of the late Garfield Green and Sarah Smith Green. She was a member of the Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ; Monessen. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one son; Arthur Chapman; two sisters; Irene Walters and Helen Taylor; two brothers; Wilbur Green and James Garfield Green; three grandchildren; Flora Madison; Mary Ann Rawls; and Clarence L. Anderson; two great-grandchildren; Cathy Ross and Anthony Madison; who died while serving his country during Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Thelma L. and Emanuel Anderson; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces; nephews; and friends. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ; Reed Avenue; Monessen; where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Elder William Bass officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The BEVERLY C. DRAPER FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
