Lillian R. Narbut peacefully passed away in sleep Sunday; Dec. 6; 2009; at her home. She was 98 years of age and had been in declining health for some time. Born March 11; 1911; in Pricedale to Harold and Teresa Round; she was married in 1933 to John P. Narbut (deceased January 29; 2004). Lillian; an honors student at Rostraver High School; graduated from Monessen High School in 1929. She attended California Normal School; attaining her teacher’s certificate and taught many years in the Rostraver Township School system; first teaching eight grades in a one room schoolhouse; then LaGrange; Fellsburg and Belle Vernon. Lillian is survived by her children; Harold and Kerin; their spouses and children; Mary Narbut; John T. Yates; Jr.; Anthony and Laurance Narbut; Geoffrey and Nathan Yates and six great grandchildren; Andrew; Caitlin; Sara; Steven; Lauren and Hannah. She is also survived by daughters of her sister; Gladys Kefover (deceased Sept. 17; 1955); June (Mrs. Richard) Kefover and Diane (Mrs. Paul) Marraccini. E. Mabel Round; who was like a sister to Lillian; predeceased her in May of 2005. Lillian requested that anyone who feels they wish to show respect and love for me; do something for someone who needs a friend or helping hand. Private funeral services were handled by the James C.
